Law Student, Pageant Contender: Jaipur's Niharika Rathore to Carry India's Flag at The Miss Globe 2026
Jaipur: Law books on one side, international runway preparation on the other. Jaipur's Niharika Rathore is currently balancing both. Miss Fusion India has officially announced her as The Miss Globe India 2026, and she will now represent India at The Miss Globe, scheduled to be held in Phuket, Thailand, from October 24 to November 6, 2026. According to the organisers, she is the first woman from Rajasthan to represent India at the competition.
Niharika's story holds special meaning for young women who give up on their dreams after a single setback. She had earlier competed in the Miss Rajasthan pageant but could not secure the position she hoped for after suffering a leg injury. After recovering, she took another shot through Miss Fusion India.
At the grand finale held at Jaipur's Anant Mahal in August, Niharika finished as first runner-up, while the title of The Miss Globe India went to Aditi Bhatnagar. After Aditi was unable to continue for undisclosed reasons, the organisers handed the responsibility to Niharika.
Niharika is a first-year LLB student at Jaipur National University. She has continued her education alongside her pageant journey, reflecting how today's young women are pursuing more than one career path at the same time. Her father, Ajit Singh Rathore, is in the property business, and her mother, Meenakshi Rathore, is a homemaker.
Preparing with women mentors
Women play a key role in Niharika's preparation for the international stage. Nimisha Mishra mentors her alongside national director Yogesh Mishra, while her international training is being handled by Fusion Pageant Training Academy and Shailza Suri. The training focuses on stage presence, communication skills, and personality development. Jaipur-based fashion designers are creating her national costume and gowns, blending Rajasthan's traditional heritage with contemporary fashion.
A nation's hopes now on her
India has won The Miss Globe only once so far, when Dimple Chetan Patel took the crown in 2016. Now this daughter of Rajasthan will compete against contestants from around the world in Phuket, hoping to bring home India's second title.
